From 1820 onward, this Western Pennsylvania town was home to a series of venerated schools, including MCGahan Log House, Middletown School, Coraopolis School, Central School, Lincoln Elementary, McKinley Elementary, Coraopolis High School, Coraopolis Jr. High School, and Cornell Educational Center.
